Religion-based bigotry is the foundation of anti-gay attitudes in our society and in the minds of a majority of Americans, particularly persons of faith.
Each day that passes I am more enchanted by Chely Wright. After the incident at Belmont University in which, earlier this week, Belmont University, a Christian College, gained attention after reports that Belmont had forced the university’s soccer coach, Lisa Howe, to resign after Howe revealed that she is a lesbian, Chely proposed a a public dialogue about the impact of the Christian School's action when they exclude gays and lesbians for their staff or student body. As a spokesperson for Faith in America, Chely adressed the issue on their website.
